Vinyl Fix

Wandered over to the local SA while I was out running errands Saturday morning, arriving just as they were putting out a fresh batch of records and tapes. Thus found and added to the ever growing music library....

  • Vanilla Fudge - The Beat Goes On - Atco (tri-color label) 1968
  • Vanilla Fudge - Self Titled - Atco (yellow label) 1967
  • Quincy Jones - You've Got It Bad Girl - 1973
  • Shadowfax - The Dreams Of Children - 1984
  • ABBA - ABBA The Album - 1977
  • ABBA - Voulez-Vous - 1979
  • Legend - Motion Picture Soundtrack - 1986
  • (rare Tangerine Dream version)
  • Werner Müller - Hawaiian Swing - 1963
  • Webley Edwards - Hawaii Calls-Fire Goddess - 1959

Grade wise, all are VeryGood+ to Excellent with the exception of the Vanilla Fudge Lps which are Fair (but listenable).

I also have to note that the Quincy Jones album was an especially welcome find, as it contains not only some great jazz but also the memorable Sanford And Son theme (the full version running over 3 minutes in length). I've been wanting to score this Lp for a long, long time.

While I was browsing the records I noticed one of the staff putting out some new cassettes. The first one said Led Zeppelin on the label. Then another, and another, and another...

All in all, another great day and another great haul.
